NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS SWEEPSTAKES.
A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL U.S. RESIDENTS IN THE STATES OF ARIZONA, CALIFORNIA,
ILLINOIS, INDIANA AND OHIO WHO ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.

1. How to Enter: The 21st Century Insurance Summer Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") begins at 5:00 a.m. (Pacific Time ["PT"]) on July 28, 2004 and ends at 4:59 a.m. (PT) on October 26, 2004 ("Sweepstakes Period"). There are two ways to enter: 1) Automatic Entry: If you are a 21st Century Insurance auto policyholder and a registered user on the Sponsor's Policy Self Service site ("PSS site") at www.21st.com, then visit the site and log on (using your user ID and password) during the Sweepstakes Period and you will automatically be entered into the Sweepstakes. If you are a 21st Century auto policyholder and you are not a registered user on the PSS site, then you must first register on the site. You will then automatically be entered into the Sweepstakes when you log onto the PSS site during the Sweepstakes Period; or 2) Mail-In Entry: Legibly hand-print your name, complete address, ZIP code, age, plus day and evening phone numbers (including area code) on a 3_ "x 5" card and then mail the card in a postage-paid envelope to: 21st Century Insurance Summer Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 8866, Calabasas, CA 91372-8866. You do not have to be a 21st Century policyholder to enter using the Mail-In Entry method. Limit of one entry per person permitted, regardless of the entry method. All automatic entries must be received by 4:59 a.m. (PT) on October 26, 2004. Mail entries must be postmarked by October 26, 2004 and received by November 2, 2004. No mechanically reproduced entries permitted. All requested information must be provided or entry will be void. An automatic entry shall be deemed an entry by the policyholder of the applicable 21st Century policy (or if it is a joint account and no primary policyholder is designated, then the first name on the policy) provided that he/she meets the other requirements herein. Automatic entries are only eligible if the policyholder's account is active, in good standing and not delinquent at the time of the drawing. Neither 21st Century Insurance Company ("Sponsor") nor RPMC, Inc. ("Sweepstakes Administrator") will verify receipt of entries. All entries submitted become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

2. Eligibility: To enter the Sweepstakes you must be a lawful permanent resident of the state of Arizona, California, Illinois, Indiana or Ohio and be 18 years of age or older. Sweepstakes is void in areas outside of these states and where restricted or prohibited by law. The Sweepstakes, and any web site pages and advertisements relating thereto, are intended for viewing within these states only. You are not authorized to participate in the Sweepstakes if you are not located within these participating states. Employees, officers and directors of the Sponsor and the Sweepstakes Administrator, their respective affiliated companies, parents, subsidiaries and advertising and promotion agencies (collectively, "Sweepstakes Entities"), and their immediate families (parents, children, siblings, spouse) and members of their households (whether related or not) are ineligible to participate in this Sweepstakes.

3. Drawing and Notification: The potential winner will be selected from all eligible entries received within the Sweepstakes Period in a random drawing held on or about November 9, 2004 by the Sweepstakes Administrator, an independent judging agency whose decisions, along with those of the Sponsor, are final and binding in all respects relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning the Grand Prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Potential winner will be notified by telephone and/or email, at Sponsor's discretion. If a potential winner cannot be reached within seven (7) calendar days from the first notification attempt, then such person will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected.

4. Prizes: One (1) Grand Prize: Winner's choice of a 2004 Toyota "Prius" automobile with a standard equipment package or $26,000.00 in cash. Choice of actual vehicle awarded will be at Sponsor's sole discretion and shipment to winner's residence within the states of Arizona, California, Illinois, Indiana or Ohio is included. Winner is responsible for all federal, state, local and other taxes and expenses not identified in these Official Rules, including but not limited to: sales tax, luxury tax, registration, title and license fees, insurance and all other costs incurred in claiming, registering or using this vehicle. Winner is responsible for all costs associated with any upgrade packages beyond the standard equipment package. Winner may be required to show proof of insurance prior to taking delivery. Allow up to 120 days for delivery of prize. Winner must take delivery of prize within 30 days from date of notification of availability or prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. (MSRP and Approximate Retail Value ["ARV"]: $26,000.00). No transfer, substitution, upgrade or refund of prizes is allowed except at Sponsor's sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason. Actual value may vary and any differences between actual value and ARV will not be awarded.

5. Prize Conditions: The potential Grand Prize winner will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release and a Publicity Release (except where prohibited) ("Affidavit/Release"). All documents must be returned to the Sweepstakes Administrator by the date and/or time indicated within such documents. If the potential winner fails to return such documents within the specified time period, or if an entrant is found to be ineligible, or if he/she does not comply with the Official Rules, then the potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. If a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, this will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected. All federal, state or other tax liabilities (including income taxes) arising from this Sweepstakes will be the sole responsibility of the winner. Except where prohibited by law, the winner's entry and acceptance of the prize constitutes winner's permission for the Sweepstakes Entities to use said winner's name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, and address (city and state only) on a worldwide basis, and in all forms of media, in perpetuity, without further compensation.

6. Sweepstakes Conditions: This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. By participating, entrants agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and Sweepstakes Administrator, whose decisions are final in all respects, and to waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules. By participating, entrants agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Sweepstakes Entities and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents from and against any claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in any Sweepstakes-related activity or participation in this Sweepstakes.

7. Limitations of Liability: Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, incorrectly addressed, incomplete, illegible, undeliverable, destroyed or postage-due Mail Entries or late, lost, misdirected, undeliverable or incomplete automatic entries due to system errors or failures, or faulty transmissions or other telecommunications malfunctions and/or entries not received resulting from any hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, Web site, Internet, or ISP availability, unauthorized human intervention, traffic congestion or failed, incomplete or garbled computer or telephone transmissions, typographical or system errors and failures, or faulty transmissions, or for any problems or technical malfunctions. Sponsor may disqualify an entrant if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Sponsor representatives. If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the promotion, then Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes and select winners by randomly drawing from those entries received up to the cancellation/suspension date. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY'S FEES) FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

8. Rules/Winners List: To receive a winners list or an additional copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: 21st Century Insurance Summer Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 8991, Calabasas, CA 91372-8991. Please specify "Rules" or "Winners List". Winners list requests must be received by January 26, 2005. You may also view the rules by visiting www.21st.com/savegasrules during the Sweepstakes Period.

9. Name Removal Notification: You may write to the following address to request that we remove your name from our list for any future sweepstakes mailings: 21st Century Insurance Summer Sweepstakes Name Removal, P.O. Box 4512, Woodland Hills, CA 91367. Your request will be processed within sixty (60) days after receipt, after which time no further sweepstakes mailings will be sent to you.
